Her passion for sewing started before the age of six and although Anna is not yet 30, she has fast gained a reputation as Mackay's most trusted bridal dressmaker and designer due to her commitment to a high level of service and quality work which and has a young, enthusiastic and fresh approach to her work. Just because it used to be done that way - why do we have to keep repeating what is safe and not jump outside the box? - why not experiment with scrunched fabric, crazy tulle and lots of bling? - but only if you want to!
Anna will create a customised gown to reflect the theme and personality of your special day, working with your chosen colour scheme and style preferences. Anna can sketch gown designs at your initial appointment and cover the page in notes and ideas and can incorporate a number of elements into one design. To be best prepared for your appointment make a scrapbook full of things that you like from hair to the cake.

Anna showcases her designs online via Facebook and social occasions, such as local bridal expos, ladies nights and designer days each year so make sure that you attend the next scheduled event. Anna gives her brides the fantastic opportunity to wear their stunning bridal gowns again when they are showcased at the local bridal expos. By doing this potential customers can have a hands on experience with the gown fabric, finishes, cut and fit - you will not catch a Alternate Art bride hitching her dress up or tripping on her hem!. Alternate Art also specialises in larger busted clients and make gowns for all shapes and sizes, you do not have to be a size 0 model to be able to wear a stunning gown which is made to complement your body shape.
More and more brides are having the confidence to leave traditonal cuts, fabric choices and colour behind and are opting for gold, silver and blush bridal gowns. Brides are also experimenting with headpeices made with fabric from their gowns netting and lots of bling! - if a veil is worn the most popular length we have found is the bridcage veil or cathedral veil with or without edging. However, do not be afraid to team a customised headpeice with a veil.
